Reading's
Redi-Dek™ is a sturdy steel platform offering the ability to utilize 2"
x 4" stake posts or pull a gooseneck trailer. All body parts are
electrically welded into one integral unit.
The Redi-Dek™ receives Reading's Lectro-Life® immersion priming for superior rust protection. In the Lectro-Life® process, the platforms are submerged in a vat of electrically charged primer adhering the paint to the steel.
The Redi-Dek™ (including understructure) is finished with a black top coat.
Standard Features
Platform

Steel floor with 1/8" safety tread plate

Outside stake rack pockets on both sides and rear allow full utilization of the platform floor, and are reinforced with 2" x 1/4" flat bar tie-down rails for securing loads

Prepunched light holes for clearance and marker lights (lights included).
Bulkhead
-
Slotted bulkhead is permanently mounted and offers clear rear visibility, while protecting the cab. The side gussets extend above the top of the bulkhead for carrying long items and offer additional support (welded in place).
Rear Apron

A 1/8" safety tread plate steel reinforced apron with a recessed license plate mounting bracket is standard (welded in place). The apron features cut outs for remounting chassis stop, tail and turn signal lights.

Ball hitch hinged access door in floor with ball hitch reinforcing -3/8" steel mounting plate* recessed under floor, gusseted to structural steel crossmembers (ball hitch not included)

* With the optional ball hitch reinforcing, Reading recommends additional mounting points such as shear plates. Reading does not supply these plates.
