Del Liftgates

Del DL Series	Rail-Style The Railgate is the workhorseof the DEL liftgates product line. This versatile model is adaptable to nearly any truck body style from small pickups to the largest straight truck or trailer. It is designed to mount directly to the rear doorframe and floor of the truck body. The chain and sprocket drive mechanism offers smooth and reliable lifting of loads, weight savings over other similar designs and completely level ride platform movement. Lifting capacity ranges from 1,250 to 8,000 lbs. and platform sizes are almost limitless. Platforms are easy to open and close manually with torsion bar assist and for larger platforms, hydraulic power open and close is available. The Railgate design is easily tailored for any special purpose vehicle or need. When smaller trucks need to reach docks, we can provide above-bed lift. The Railgate offers the widest range of features and can easily be tailored for safe and efficient cargo handling.
	Tuckaway The Tuckaway-style liftgate is the ideal choice of operators who don't use the liftgate very often and handle a wide variety of stable cargo. It's designed to mount to the truck chassis frame of most medium to large straight truck or trailer applications. Capacities up to 3,000 lbs. are available. Platform sizes are limited because the platform folds under the truck when not in use. Unlike most railgates, the Tuckaway allows for uninhibited access to the rear door -- making this gate ideal for frequent dock loading. However, the platform slopes down when on the ground and levels off as it rises to its maximum height and is therefore not recommended for lifting unstable loads. Platforms, although small, are heavy to open and close. The Tuckaway is a cost effective alternative for many lifting applications.
	Cantilever The Cantilever-style liftgate combines design features of both the Rail-style and Tuckaway. It is designed to mount to the truck chassis frame of most medium to large straight truck or trailer applications. The platform slopes down when on the ground, however, unlike the Tuckaway, the platform raises to level before lifting. This gives it the same level ride characteristics as the Railgate. The unique wedge shape design of the platform allows wheeled cargo to roll up and off easily. Combined with the addition of roll stops, the platform can effectively hold the cargo in a secure fashion. Larger platforms are available but dock loading is difficult (unless Zoom Lift used). Capacities from 2,200 to 5,500 lbs. are available. Like the Railgate, Tailored Solutions™ are available. The Cantilever is the liftgate of choice when dock loading is not an issue and a large platform is required for wheeled carts or other sensitive cargo.
