Standard Features

1. All Reading caps are constructed of two-sided zinc coated A60 galvannealed steel giving strength, durability and the first layer of rust protection. 

2. Lectro-Life® immersion priming is the second layer of rust protection.  In the priming process, the caps are dipped in a huge vat of electrically charged primer, fusing the paint to the steel.  The result is complete coverage in every nook and cranny for unsurpassed rust and corrosion protection.

3. Bolt on stainless steel hinges keep doors operating smoothly in any climate.  Electro-zinc pins are fully concealed and never need oiling.

4. Double paneled compartment doors offer greater strength and security.  The side doors feature flange-mounted automotive rubber door seals that protect tools and equipment from moisture.

5. Full width lift-up or vertical rear door provides easy access to the pickup bed from the rear of the truck.  Easy open automatic rear lift-up door flips up when the door latch is disengaged and closes completely when partially lowered.

6. Electric welding construction means all parts have full electric welds and are precision die-formed for a perfect fit.  Seams are continuously welded for maximum strength.

7. Slam action or "T" handle rivet-on locks keep compartment doors securely locked.  Adjustable A60 galvannealed steel striker plates permit ease of adjustment necessitated by normal wear on slam action locks.  Lock cylinders are guaranteed for life to the original owner.
